Public Holidays Hesse
All statutory public holidays in Hesse – calculated from the Hesse Holiday Act (Hessisches Feiertagsgesetz).
Hesse has a total of 10 statutory public holidays, 253 working days and 11 possible bridge days in 2026.
The legal basis is the Hesse Holiday Act (Hessisches Feiertagsgesetz) and, for movable holidays, the computation of Easter according to the Gregorian calendar. If a holiday falls on a weekend, the extra day off is effectively lost.
